最近剛敲定了兩邊的時間和地點
有些人為了選日子特別去找師傅來算黃道吉日，有些則認為只要是大家有空的日子就是好日子。
看日子到底是迷信還是真的有它的道理?

農民曆從商朝開始有就有紀載了，主要以觀察太陽月亮來訂出一年12個月以及一甲子60年一周期的循環。
他們觀察與訂製農民曆主要是為了農民曆裡面的..."農民"
什麼時候撥種，收割都要看天氣，以前的氣象預測只能靠觀察以前的天氣來預算未來的天氣 (其實現在某些程度上也是這樣)
所以農民曆訂出哪天的氣候適合做什麼對農民或是漁民特別重要。
至於搬家結婚安葬等等大家也會希望是在好的天氣，所以其他一般的活動也會參考農民曆。
簡單來說說所謂好日子就是好天氣的意思吧。

先不管準不準，它都有一定的方程式(現在都是用電腦算)，只是每個人的見解不同，一個人算出來的好日子，其他人算可能是壞日子。
加上沒有一個公定的標準，以訛傳訛的方式造成更多見解的分歧。
所以日子到底要怎麼選才對呢? 既然古人的智慧結晶的傳承有待查證，也可以參考一下現代人的智慧。

So we just confirmed the dates for both location of the wedding.
In Chinese there are a lot of custom about which dates are suitable for what event. Theses customs dates back to 1766BC, when they started the calendar system. Initially, people studied the calendar cycle with the weather to predict the weather of each day for the farmers and fishermen. But other people use these system as well to have their wedding, funeral…etc. on a sunny day.
Then of course it evolves into which day will make wealthy and propose. Now days, we still use the same calculate method to draft the Lunar calendar (or farmer’s calendar). However there are many interpretation on the calculation, the so call “good days” can be different depending on who drafted it.
So how do you pick the best date for the wedding? Well…you don’t, either someone else will you to pick it or your free slots will be so limited that you will get whatever is available.

(207天) 難忘的求婚
有了"鑽戒"之後就可以準備求婚了。女生都幻想著浪漫的驚喜求婚，男生都怕把計畫被搞砸，然後被念好幾年。
動作:基於西方文化影響，單膝下跪變成了求婚基本姿勢。在中古世紀王室封爵的時候武士就以單膝下跪來表示遵從 (就好像結婚後一樣…)。但如果你不想遵從或是不喜歡西方文化那你用鞠躬也可以。至於女生的基本動作就是張開嘴巴然後用兩隻手摀住嘴…我也不知道為什麼
地點:有人喜歡選第一次約會的地點，有人喜歡邀請親友團在餐廳，然後再找個朋友錄影。我建議找個旁邊沒有人的地方。這樣女生就比較沒有壓力說我願意，然後被拒絕以後也不用馬上挖一個洞。

創意:因為普通的"妳願意嫁給我嗎"顯然不夠刻骨銘心，大家都要搞個驚喜的橋段。你要弄大字報還是氣球的夢幻情節都沒關係。但不要把你的戒指亂放，放在食物裡或是綁氣球之類的都會造成悲劇，還是乖乖地放在口袋就好。

結論:浪漫的求婚很難忘，但很爛的求婚也是一樣的難忘，只要達成目的都一樣會記得(說不定爛的還比較好記)。但其實求婚的重點不是動作地點或是創意，最重要的是你有真誠的問就好了。

(207 Days) A Memorable Proposal

After you get your diamond ring, you can start to prepare for your proposal.

Gesture: With the influence of the western culture, a bended knee become the standard gesture. This tradition roots in medieval times, when knights were knighted by royals, they kneel as gesture of servitude (which is kind of true to marriage). For girls, the standard gesture is open their mouth and block it with both hands...that did not come from medieval times.

Location: Public place with a lot of people watching and video recording is bad. Because, the girls will more liberated to reject you, and that you will still have some dignity left if she dose reject.

Creativity: The regular “Will you marry me?” is not memorable enough. People come up with acts to surprise the girl. But whatever you do, don’t put your rings with weird places, tiding it to a balloon or put in in her food can lead to some bad outcome, better just keep it in your pockets.

Conclusion: Regardless of the method, she is going to remember it. It might even be more memorable if it was really bad. But actually it’s not about the gesture, location or creativity, just ask the question sincerely, that’s what matters.

(214天) 鑽戒選購指南 （其實不是）

求婚的第一步就是買一隻鑲著大大顆鑽石的戒指，因為鑽石代表著你永恆不變的愛。第一次求婚的你大概也是第一次買鑽戒，大部分的珠寶商會建議你花三個月的薪水，但我建議....先了解一下鑽石再決定。

鑽石的確是最硬的礦石，但它不是最有韌性的，拿個鐵鎚就可以把它敲碎（你那永恆不變的愛其實是很脆弱的）。

鑽石很稀有，但也不至於那麼稀有。在所有寶石中，鑽石大概是最常見的吧（你認識的人裡有幾個有鑽石，有幾個有藍寶石？）。

相對的，鑽石的的價值也不及其他寶石，其實除了幾個特別稀有的寶石以外，寶石也不是一個很好的投資（求婚鑽戒更不是，你可能賣你的求婚鑽戒嗎？不可能？那它就是一個不可能兌現的投資）。

大部份的鑽石礦都在非洲，但非洲的鑽石交易卻被用來買武器，打內戰，死了幾百萬人...看過「血鑽石」嗎？

那為什麼鑽石價錢還是那麼高，大家為什麼還是都想要？其實就是....我們的文化和廣告幫鑽石打造出的形象。就是因為這個形象，加上品牌效應，鑽石可以賣到它2倍到1000倍的價錢。

我知道不管講多少，妳們想要求婚時候有鑽戒。所以我的建議...不要花到三個月的薪水，看起來好看，足以她拿去跟朋友炫耀就好。看完被我洗腦的人，妳可以跟男朋友說考慮鑽戒以外的戒指。

順道一提：我知道大部分的人都分不出鑽石的真假或是等級，那你們猜我買的到底是什麼鑽戒呢？

(214 Days) Diamond ring buying guide (not really)

What is a proposal without a diamond ring? There will be nothing to symbolize your forever love. If it's your first proposal, it's probable your first time buying a diamond ring. Jeweler will tell you to spend at least 3 month of your salary on the ring, but my suggestion? Do some research first.

Diamond are hard, but not tough, you can smash it with a hammer pretty easily. (Just like your forever love)

Diamonds are rare, but not that rare. It's probably the most common gem around. (How many of our friends owns diamonds and how many owns sapphire?)

Diamonds are also not as valuable as many gems. They are also not a good investment apart from few rare and large ones. (Engagement rings are the worst investment, if you will never sell your rings, that means your investment will never make you any profit.)

Diamonds are good for funding wars, specifically the civil wars that has been going on in Africa, killing millions. (Have you seen Blood Diamond?....yep)

The reason diamonds are so desirable and expensive? ...culture. Our cultures believes that diamonds represents love, luxury...bla bla bla. With the addition of brand effect, diamond traders are able to mark up the price from 50 to 1000%.

I know regardless of what I said, girls will still want a diamond ring for the proposal. My advice...don't spend 3 month of salary on that thing. If she truly loves you, she will be happy as long as it doesn't look ugly. For those who has been brainwashed by me...you can tell your boyfriend to get you something other than diamond ring.

Side note: knowing most people can't tell the difference between real and fake diamond or the grade of the diamond, what kind of engagement ring did I buy?

（220天）為什麼要結婚？

因為從小被灌輸長大就是要結婚生子，叛逆的我總有不婚的念頭。
反正市面上離婚，婚外情，夫妻吵架很常看到，結婚這檔事好像也沒有什麼"功能"，只是增加了麻煩的作業程序。

我一直覺得不管有沒有那個儀式或證書，都不應該改變兩個人在一起的意願。
如果真的遇見了適合的人，就算沒有結婚也會一直在一起吧！
既然有沒有結都沒差的話，如果結了又何嘗不可？（存款會縮水就是了）

但想想好處，你可以讓另一半開心，家人開心，朋友開心 （至少Facebook上看起來很開心），還可以刺激經濟成長。

所以，我還是決定結了。

People list out their new year resolution every year, because writing it down makes them more committed to their goals, so relationship written down on paper will make you more committed to the relationship as well right? Un....maybe...maybe not.

If you feel that the act of marriage doesn't effect your commitment does it means you shouldn't get married? Well, if you feel indifferent either way, why not do it to make everyone around you happy? (At least most people seems to be happy about it on Facebook.) Most of all

Also, wedding will help boost the economic.

Thanks to Pennie for patiently helping me during shooting. Also thanks to Fergus and Pai for scanning the old photos. 

拍攝都是由iPhone的app, OSnap來完成. 剪輯則是由Power Director，但其實 Windows Movie Maker 也可以達到差不多的效果。
The shooting is done on iPhone using the app OSnap, and later edited by Power Director, but Windows Movie Maker should be enough for this video.

媽媽，生日快樂!

依照慣例，喜慶佳節都應該畫一張應景的圖，不過常常忘記。

會畫人像是因為在首爾的時候在創意市集看到很多畫人像的攤位。每個攤位都很有個人的風格，到現在還是很佩服。不過好像沒看過有人用 Pixel Art 的風格幫別人畫人像。

Fathers day 如何稱呼文藝青年的爸爸?

今天是台灣的父親節，只有台灣這種連新聞裡面都愛大玩諧音的地方，才會用日期的諧音來定國定節日。因為是諧音的節日所以我才畫很冷的諧音的笑話。

Ok，重點是父親節。應該是要感謝父親的照顧和支持之類的，但我昨天才說人的基因就已經設定好要照顧下一代，所以我們多年來被照顧應該也大自然的原理吧? 但是有這樣的言論會應該會造成公憤，所以還是感謝一下所有盡職的爸爸，然後也要感謝自己的爸爸到現在還在間接性的養我。

PS. 給看不懂我冷笑話的人: 文藝青年的爸爸是文藝父親 (諧音: 文藝復興)。圖是仿義大利文藝復興大師達文西關於人體比例的手稿。

What is cute? 什麼是可愛?

圓和黃色並不是可愛的重點。
其實一個東西可愛是因為有年輕的特質，通常年幼人或是動物的膚色都偏粉色系，形狀也較為圓潤，還有眼睛和頭的比例都比成年來的大。

那為什麼我們(尤其是女生)都那麼喜歡可愛的東西呢?
因為照顧小孩是我們基因的默認設定，要不然不久後人類就絕種了。
有科學家說小孩的大頭，大眼睛特徵就是為了要讓我們注意到他們，讓我們更想保護他。
為了要孕育下一代，我們對可愛的喜好深固在基因裡，尤其是照顧小孩的女性，對其他就算不是自己小孩的可愛事物也無法抵抗。

有沒有感覺知識又增長了一些呢?

Cuteness is basically features of youth. It's not limited to appearance such as googly eyes and lollipop heads, but behaviour as well. That's why we are attracted to childish or clumsy behaviour I guess.

Our DNA programs us to take care of our kids, therefore we are naturally attracted and want to protect children. Since we are attracted to those "cute" features, those preference persist even if the subject is not children. Especially for the gender that breeds, cute things are irresistible to them. 

We are not that different after all

Happy Birthday Mom 媽媽生日快樂

今天是媽媽的生日，所以祝媽媽生日快樂。我畫的不是變態女童，是艾莉絲夢遊仙境的艾莉絲。只是這是變態遊戲 "American McGee's Alice" 版本的艾莉絲。。。

嗯，其實也是變態女童。但畫這個主要原因是因為我媽英文名叫做 Alice，還有因為我弟屬兔，所以絕對跟變態沒有關係。。。還有那個紅紅的不是血，是草莓醬啦。媽媽生日快樂啊，下禮拜再去找妳。

It's my mom's birthday and I don't have any idea so I drew American McGee's Alice because her name is Alice. For those who are wondering what is American McGee's Alice. It's sort of a cult hit PC game back in 2000. It tells the story of Alice after Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. She has become kind of insane and slide card guards in half with her kitchen knife...

Anyway, Happy Birthday Mom!

Can you Blow my What?!

耶!拖到星期五了。。。因為現在才畫完。我不知道台灣電台有沒有放 Flo Rida 唱的 Whistle 這首歌，但最近在馬來西亞的電台一直聽到。這首歌雖然歌詞是在講吹口哨，其實他是在隱喻口交。雖說是隱喻，但我認為歌詞寫的還蠻明顯的。。。

當我正在納悶這首歌怎麼沒被馬來西亞政府禁播的時候，我才發現我身邊的朋友都不認為這首歌跟口交有什麼關係。難道是我思想太邪惡?!

Is it just me or is Whistle by Flo Rida singing about blow job? If so, how come Malaysian government who sensors French kissing in cinema doesn't ban this song on the radio...and don't even let me start on International by Pitbull...because that is not even subtle.

Lego Talks 樂高人的對話

快樂星期三。又連續兩個禮拜沒有畫了。一方面沒時間，另一方面沒有什麼 idea 。很多人小時候都有玩過樂高，甚至有些最近都還在玩 (咳，Amy)。但你們還記得那些小樂高人有沒有對話嗎?

從2005年開始，Traveler's Tales 開始推出樂高的遊戲。從星際大戰，印地安那瓊斯，加勒比海盜，哈利波特等，幾乎每年都有兩三個遊戲推出。雖然都是電影的故事和劇情，但那些樂高版本的角色卻一句對話也沒有，只有吱吱嗚嗚的聲音。

後來他們做了一個關於樂高人該不該講話的問卷。他們發現大人們認為樂高不應該講話，吱吱嗚嗚的對話配合誇張的動作才能顯現樂高的魅力。但小孩們卻不那麼認為，他們覺得樂高人一直以來都會講話。

回想起來，小時候在玩樂高，或是任何玩具時都會幫他們對話。像是玩具總動員裡的小男孩一樣，一面自己對話一面演著邊不合邏輯的劇情。。。現在，那些想像力跑去哪了?

Happy Wednesday! I've been busy again so, sorry for not updating regularly.

For Those of you who plays video games, you must known about Traveler's Tales and their lines of Lego games. Despite releasing one after another yearly, and the kiddish theme, they've all been quite good. A lot of it comes from the charm of Lego, which is universally loved by children and adult.

Since their first Lego game, "Lego Star Wars." The Legos themselves does not talk at all. Part of it might be the development budget, another part might be wanting to maintain the charm of the Lego as toys and not characters.

However the most resent release of Lego Batman 2, is first game they had the Legos talk. I heard the reason for this is from the result of a survey. The survey shows that adults prefer Lego stays silent while kids thought Legos have been talking the whole time.

I use to thought Legos shouldn't talk as well, but thinking back to when I was a kid playing with my Legos, they do talk, and they all have different personalities and act out amazing stories...(for a kid). I sill have most of my Legos, but if only I can have as much fun as I was playing with Lego as a kid...

母親節快樂 Happy Mother's Day

上個星期三沒有放到任何漫畫因為太忙了，但今天母親節不管怎樣一定要放個什麼東西。

這張圖要說的就是不管你是人類還是異形，媽媽把你生出來都是很辛苦的，所以一定要對你媽好一點。

不過我個人認為生這些異形小孩出來以後年復一年的折磨應該比整段生產的過程還痛苦吧? 所以如果你年紀越大應該要對母親越好才對。。。不過既然小孩那麼折磨為什麼還要生?所以另一個角度看母親們其實也算是自找的 。(以上發言絕對不是本人對自己母親看法)

Pennie vs Sentinel

生日快樂星期天。沒送妳什麼所以至少畫個圖。本來是要畫之前那個"我可能部會愛你"程又青30歲生日那天被時間怪物追的夢境。但覺得被怪物追好像不是很正面，所以就想改成面對怪物，後來又改成跟怪物打鬥。。。最後不知道為什麼變成金鋼狼跟 Sentinel 廝殺的經典漫畫封面 (X-Men #178)。

金鋼狼代表著妳直率的個性和永遠年輕的體質。。。Ok， 其實只是因為那個封面很帥而已。不過還是真的祝妳生日快樂和永遠年輕，耶!

So I drew my own version with my girlfriend's comic alter ego for her birthday (I kept the claw in there because I like it). Of course, she is really nice, nothing like Wolverine, except maybe the hairy part...Happy Birthday Pennie!

Zombie Jesus Day 殭屍耶穌節

放假的星期三快樂。難得有在星期三的假期，只是在家裡休息，不過也好，出去玩的話明天會更累。今天的漫畫 (雖然這兩個禮拜的有點稱不上漫畫) 可能會有些。。。爭議。但認識我的人應該都知道我沒惡意，只是好玩而已。

上個星期天是復活節，復活節就是慶祝耶穌死後復活的日子。而死後復活後當然就是殭屍啦。所以說耶穌可是在殭屍流行之前就已經當過了呢!

話說殭屍的流行程度，去年華爾街預估殭屍對美國的經濟有超過五十億的貢獻呢，從電視、電影、遊戲、到書籍、服裝和活動都躲不過僵屍的傳染力。

Happy earthquake Wednesday everyone.  So I guess every felt the earthquake in my area this afternoon, but as far as I know, nothing serious happened, except the mall kicked everyone out.

So back to the comic, happy late Easter every one, or as some people calls it, Zombie Jesus Day. To my friends and family who are offended by Zombie Jesus, you know I mean no disrespect or anything, plus, look how adorable that Zombie Jesus is.

Speaking of zombies, last year Wall Street has estimated the economical contribution of zombie to be over 5 billions dollars...looks like we are infected even before the zombie apocalypse.
